It can be said that each one of us here at AncientWorlds insist on being known as a bunch of self-proclaimed, smart alecks when it comes to Ancient History; however when it comes to Popular Culture, sometimes it pays to be a Dunce!

Pennsylvania, again, at night. The harvest moon rose slowly above the treetops, shining it's eerie light over the small sleepy town. As I turn to look for my friend Doug, a scream split the night. He had rushed out of the party; why I do not know.

I raced outside in the direction of the scream, shining my flashlight here and there. Along the edge of the lake I could just make out the shadows of two people. "Who were they?", I asked myself. It couldn't be Doug because he was not that tall, and the other shadow was weirdly...misshapen, somehow. Another shriek and by this time the entire party was out on the lakeside. "Joe you run and call the cops", I said. But as I turned and looked at him, I was met with only a blank, empty stare. "Joe, what's the matter with you?" I shrieked as he began to grin menacingly.

Joe reached out to grab my shoulder but I backed away slowly, trying to reach the rest of the party a few feet away.

As sinister music played, my father looked at my brother and I as we stared toward the car radio; he could tell that the suspense of the radio drama was getting to us.
