I think you've really compiled everything possibly known about Calpurnia and put it together with well-reasoned argument. One thing that does fascinate me, particularly reading your quotes from the original sources:
Why do we have any notion just WHEN Caesar married Calpurnia? I know the conventional wisdom is, sometime possibly in the late '50's, but I'm not sure if there is any source for that at all. All those quotes read as if his marriage to her did not GREATLY precede his death, which would be an interesting point of argument. I don't believe it, mind - but off the top of my head, I'm wondering where I got my notion that they'd been married for 15 years at his death.
One of the most interesting points about Caesar's will was that allegedly he made provisions for an heir in case a son was born to him. Of course, everyone has always wondered if that meant Cleopatra's son Caesarion? (not ruddy likely) But also interesting if he meant a son by Calpurnia. We know that Caesar, for long years through the '50's, made POMPEY his heir, not anyone else - it would be interesting to know when, and why, he switched to a son of his own.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had any clue how Octavian and Calpurnia got along? Of course they would have known each other - and I wonder what Calpurnia's positionw as in the angst-filled years of the Triumvirate, or later as Augustus tightened his grip on power. THERE's a story I wish someone had told!
