Hello!

New here, but thought I'd pick the brains of those who know much more about Roman jewelry than myself! :) I have a silver ring with the inscription "DIO" on the bezel and am trying to figure out if the inscription refers to the word "God" or to the figure, himself, Cassius Dio...would anybody be able to enlighten me?
