Do you think it is possible that Caesar was really going to be appointed "king outside Rome" (sorry, I'm not sure whose idea this was in the first place)?

What you say about his plans for rule being adapted for the different regions of the empire makes a lot of sense. Do you think he'd take the title of king, even "outside Rome", or do you feel it was as abhorrent to him as to any other Roman?
