    er, This isn't really 'to' Tom Holland, but to all those who may wonder what else there is to enjoy about his writing.

    I read Lord of the Dead two years ago or so, and when I looked in amazon.com for Tom's book list realized that this was one of his. At amazon.com there were mixed reader reviews on Lord of the Dead but I really enjoyed it, as did my husband. Neither of us are big fans of "vampire fiction", though I've enjoyed a few Anne Rice novels over the years, and Whitley Strieber's 2nd in his vampire series. Otherwise, well I suspected I wouldn't enjoy Lord much at all, so was pleasantly suprised. It's a very interesting and unique take on the gothic novel with a 19th century literary hero tossed in the mix. My husband, who is insanely picky about what novels he enjoys, states it was "impossible to put down".

    I've ordered and just received Sleeper in the Sands, as like alot here I'm a fan of Egyptian history, and will begin reading it tonight. As it's topic is on Ankhenaten, I suspect I'll have a gazillion questions within 5 minutes of the novel. Such a strange subject, I personally think Ankhenaten was a tremendous boob, but that's me. Still, sounds interesting. At any rate, I'd love to know if others have read this title or are planning on it so I can have someone available to chat about it with?

    Another title that looks interesting is Deliver us from Evil. Description via reader review;

      "The story adds an interesting twist to the vampyre world - not just continuing the path of the scary stories we have all heard before, Holland takes the reader through a faschinating world of different levels of odd beeings. Well written and certainly worth reading."
