1.)What is your name and rank?

    A) Drakus Domitius Cordatus. Proconsul in Gallia Narbonensis.

2.) Do you know the Defendant personally?

    A) I would not say I know the defendant personally. As I already told this court, we have never been on friendly terms.

3.) Have you ever worked alongside C. Cornelius Messala?

    A) He was the Angustriclavian Tribune of the Legio XII Roma, I believe, which I commanded as a Tribunis Prolegato during the Sardinian rebellion. Our contact was minimal. Nevertheless, I must say his conduct there was without fault.

4.) Has C. Cornelius Messala ever lied, abused, or threatened you in any way?

    A) No lie, abuse or threat from C. Cornelius Messala to me has ever been proven, no.

5.) In the year 199, you lead legions that won the decisive victory over the rebels in Sardinia; More specifically, you were responsible for victories at Sulcis and Carales. Is this correct?

    A) Yes, I led victories at Sulcis and Carales in Sardinia as well as the final defeat of the rebel army in December of that year.
