and looked around. I missed London, though I could no longer bear to live here. Helen and I waited for the transport I had arrainged. We had a busy time ahead of us. First we would go to the home of the Smyth family. Friends of my husband and I, where we would be staying. I had a small trinket for Emily. Then we had to visit the Dressmaker and the Milner. The final fitting and arraingments for my party dress were in hand, and I must be sure that the Hat would fit properly also.
Tomorrow would be most difficult. I would go to call upon my husband's doctor. It was too much to hope that he should be cured, but I must have some report of his situation. Perhaps, if properly sedated, I could remove him to the country to live with me in Drakesheath!
Of course Emily was hosting a tea, and we would be able to visit with several dear friends while in town. But next Tuesday, we would be returning to Drakesheath.
