    I know my version of PS is as old as the hills, but hey, it was free -- and no one argues with FREE! *lol*

    I don't see a little icon (though you get a sort-of preview of the brush in a little window there... though most of the time you can't see anything there) and the options thing (only available through right click?) sets the spacing and that's basically it.

    Some of the brushes, when I pick them up to use them, show the brush image as I move to the image I am creating. Most of those are large images, but not all. I scoured the internet but only found tutorials on the use. *sigh* It may just be one of "those" things I have to learn to deal with. Thanks for the suggestions though, Kallistos! I appreciate it!
