Has anyone read the books by Allan Massie on the life of Caesar and that of his successors Augustus and Tiberius. They are fiction but definently well worth the read, especially his depiction of Tiberius. His book on Caesar is written from the point of view of Decimus Junius Brutus, one of the conspirators. The only fault I can find with the book is the fact that he portrays Decimus Brutus as being more important than History would have us believe. Still spends a good deal of time bashing Marcus Brutus and that is something I certainly enjoyed.
