or at least the way I did it during the last Pub Crawl, was to use an existing open access thread at the Rome board (The Roman Slave Market). I know there might be limitations for new thread making (patrons and higher only?), but as I had made the thread (in 2002), I was able to change it's title to Pataässä Pub at Roman Slave Market, decorate it accordingly, and put into it links to the Aqua Fennica group and the Sauna contest we held.

I'd think, if you'd ask a demi or a scribe nicely, they could do a temporary title change to an open access thread, if you find one you could use for your groups' Pub, or maybe even make a temp new thread?
