Before I get to the matter of the December races, I am more than willing to meet with Numidicus to arrange an equitable and amicable resolution to his claim against me. As he says, this is a civil case which he has brought against me. Naturally, if we are unable to reach an agreement satisfactory to both, the court should, indeed must, rule on the matter.

Now, as to the December races, I agree to the proposal of doubling the purse for each race. Specifically, instead of the normal 720 D, the prize will be 1440 D. for each of the two races. Since there are no offers of sponsorship for these races, I will sponsor the December races. However, I can not agree to the penalty against the entrants. At least, not as I understand it.

Please, correct me if I do have your suggestion wrong. As I understand you, you wish me to deduct the same number of experience points from the winners of the first race for December as I deducted from their closest competitors in the November race. Or were you referring to the winners of the November races? That was not clear to me from your statement. I merely wish to clarify this point before proceeding any further.

As an alternative to penalizing others for my error, might I suggest that my entrant in next year's races receive a penalty in accrued experience? If this is acceptable, I propose that my race entry, win or lose, not accrue any experience points for the first six races of the year. I make this offer because no one except myself should be made to suffer for my mistake. Would this be acceptable to you, Numidicus, and to the court?

OOC: I realize the Golden Whip is team specific. When I was gathering the figures for the trophy total, I missed where DDC's team had a fatal result. That does change the final chances for the trophy. Even our newest player, if he manages to win the next two races, could conceivably win the trophy!

Personally, CL, I don't see any trouble here. :) I can't speak for the others, but I am enjoying this little exchange. Yes, it does give me a headache from time to time, but I get that dealing with figures anyway. LOL

On another note, though, this does give a dimension to my character that I hadn't considered before: an honorable bumbler. He means well, but manages to make things difficult for himself, and, unfortunately in this case, for others as well. Hopefully, we'll be able to resolve this to everyone's satisfaction.
