Titus Cassius Barbula stands before the Court Praetor.
I regret, Caesar, that the young Races Aedile appears to have lost himself in a sea of figures. He forgets that the Golden Whip is awarded to the Driver who has won the most money, not the team owner. D.216 of Cordatus' prize money was won by his previous driver (now deceased). His present team have won only D.576. He is still in the lead but not unassailably so.
One Race can make a difference. Not only would some of those who got prize money in November have their totals reduced, but those in the lower places, who should have finished in the prize money, would have their totals increased. Let us say that Team Lotus should have finished fourth and not fifth; if that had happened its total prize money would now be D.504, within sight of the Leader.
Longinus needs to think about this again. I suggest the only proper result would be to disqualify the first four teams in the November Races.
