A messenger arrives from Ephesus for Cnaeus Minor. It is from Sextus.
Dear brother,
There has been a change of plans. Consulting with his doctors and others in Asia Province, I have decided that it would be better for our father if he was to be moved to Rome. Every doctor I have spoken to has said that he is not in a fragile state so the journey is not dangerous to his health, plus there are plenty of friends and family in Picenum who can help nurse him back to health.
If you have any objections, we will be leaving in two weeks time so you can meet me and father in Ephesus in person before then.
Your brother,
Sextus Pompeius
