I leap free of the boat and alight on land, scrabbling for my balance. It is a relief to get away from the lapping waves. We've been traveling all night. In the sickly light of dawn, the druid shadows me to shore. Daideo secures the boat, dragging it to ground by himself, with a mighty heave.
The hair on the back of my neck prickles and rises when I hear Orla keening a high and beckoning call to Manannan.
