Caesar had arrived in Aquileia some time ago...
The baggage was prepared, the plans drawn up and soldiers given a speech. Caesar awoke, sacrificed, found the omens auspicious, and gave the order.
Solemnly, with unrivalled precision, the famous Tenth began marching out of the city. The vanguard legion, Caesar's men to the end. It was followed by the Third Italica, the Twelfth, the Eleventh Equestris Cavalry (Caesar's new all mounted legion), Caesar's special unit: Custodes Reipublicae, the Guardians of the Republic, the First Italica, the Ninth, renowned for their ability to survive against all odds, the Second Italica, and the other equine legion: the newly recruited Fourth Italica Equestris Cavalry.
It was truly a sight to behold.
OOC: The X, III, XII, CR, I, XI, IX, II and IV leave Aquileia bound for Tergeste. They will arrive in one day IRL. At which point, Caesar will issue further orders and split his forces. FURHTER NOTE: From now on, the apellation "Equestris" shall only be applied to those legions that are fully mounted. I believe historically some legions got this name for riding once or twice, but in our case, this is what we will do for PERMANENT equestrian forces.
