Welcome
Pax Inter Pares
Peace Between Equals. Caesar has crossed the Rubicon, but Civil War did not erupt. Caesar and Pompey stand together against the Republicans. In this alternative Rome, who will come out ahead? Or will anyone? You decide.

    To Marcus Porcius Cato

    Greetings fellow Roman.

First off let me send my condolences on the untimely passing of your father. I had gotten to know him recently and had a great deal of respect for him.

As for the situation in the Exile Senate I fear that it may be almost irredeemable. Domitius Ahenobarbus and two thirds of the senators are committed to continuing the fight against Caesar and Domitius even wishes to march against Rome as soon as possible.

The other third accepted my proposal to negotiate with Caesar but I fear that it will not be enough to win any vote on returning to Rome. The opposition to Domitius has no leader and they still see me as an outsider, so your and Porcia's presence in Ephesus would be more than welcome.

    Sextus Pompeius
