I enter the kitchen to make sure all is ready for Master Felix's dinner but instead of finding my merry maids putting the finishing touches on delectable dishes, I find Cook & Shawn as thick as theives over a sealed letter. "Good evening Shawn. Good to see you about. What's that you have there for us?" I ask. Both Mother & Son look up suddenly & guiltily at my question. They did not hear me enter.
"A fine lady had come to the village from London. She needed someone to deliver this to Lord Victor, so I came posthaste."
"Ah, a fine lady you say? Well then, lets see what she has to say!" I go to crack open the wax seal, only for it to bend. Apparently I'm not the first under this roof to read the note. I just raise an eyebrow at them. I read it quickly then smile. "Edmund will definately want to see this when he returns. Speaking of which, won't the Cross & Cowl be missing their favorite innkeeper soon Shawn? Be off with you, but keep us informed as you can about Miss Delbeath." He nods and grabs his hat from the peg by the door and is off. "Cook, dinner for Master Felix...please tell me it's ready to go! He'll be expecting it at 8:00 sharp!"
