Remember what Tariq Ibn Abd el-Aziz said to his men on the shore of Gibraltar (Gabal Tariq = Arbic for the mount Tariq) after ordering his ships to be burnt, "Al Bahr Wara'na wa al-a'adiw amamana!" (The sea is behind us and the enemy is before us!). We are bound to make a few interesting twists anyway. ;)
Come to think about it we could us Iberia as a test run for future RPGs. I still think its easy to dig up more history on MENA than on Iberia. But if everyone goes for Spain, then I'll go to Al Andalus as well.
Here is an idea why not start at the begining of Islam's visit to Spain and work our way from there? If we start we are bound to attracting others.:)
