The question has been put to me and I am obliged to comply with an answere. "I need more time to study what is here to make sense of it. It does seem that many of the rocks tell about a journey made accoss the ocean and a new Egyptian kingdom or colony being established here. It describes a location even further to the west. It is a place where they seem to think they will be able to communicate with the gods. It is marked by the eye of Horus, and can be seen from a great distance. It is high in the mountains. There is supposed to be a sacred burial ground. There is much here about a Nubian ruler. This man ruled here as the Pharaoh ruled in
Memphis."
Don Jose smiles at my words like a cat who has just been given a bowl of cream. He claps his hands and a group of musicians enter
to entertain us for the evening.
I am mezmerised by the music that I find here. It is like nothing that I have ever heard befor, and I am feeling that in this stange new land, I must be going native.
The butterflies nestle in Najia's hair. They follow her everywhere.
There are many more rocks that I still need to translate, but for the time being I am content to listen to the music.
