Everything that had happened in the past year manifested itself in Sextus - lust, war, death, his father's condition, lack of sleep and now this politician had laid his hands on him. It all boiled over. Sextus was irate. His Pompeian nature and arrogance overtook him
"Don't touch me, Brutus. I know who you are and your reputation but you will not talk down to me. Not because I am my father's son but because I am Sextus Pompeius. The man who saved the east from foreign invasion while you sat on your ass and did nothing."
Now Sextus was shouting
"I rush here from another successful campaign against enemies of Rome to find the reason my father is comatose trying to take the easy way out by jumping from a window, making a mockery of the sacrifices made to bring her back safely.
Sextus stepped forward to eyeball Brutus. Even though the politician was old enough to be his father, Sextus had no respect for him now whatsoever.
"And now you lay your hands on me because I saved your cousin from Pluto's grip? Maybe you should use your head and retrieve all the facts before accusing a hero of Rome of trying to kill your incestuous lover!!"
