“Let go of me!” Porcia said crassly as she fell back into the room. Sextus would not release his hold on her and attempted to hold her still.
“I will not have you take your own life and waste my father’s sacrifice.” He stated. Porcia still struggled,
“At least your father still lives. Mine is already in Pluto’s realm!” Sextus finally stilled Porcia enough to speak calmly, realizing that she was in a fragile condition.
“I heard. I am truly sorry for that misfortune. My father is not yet dead, but if you take your life you will dishonor my father’s condition.” Sextus explained. Porcia fell still at this, and stated,
“If it were not for my foolishness your father would be whole. I deserve this death on all counts.” Seeing Porcia was fully subdued, Sextus released her and she sat back against the wall beneath the window, struggling to keep her composure. As a result of trying to control her, she looked somewhat battered from her own grief.
It was then Brutus awoke; he looked upon the scene, which weighed heavily in Porcia’s favor and walked towards Sextus,
“What have you done to her?!” He exclaimed concerned at her posture and position. Sextus sighed at the ouburst and tried to say,
“I have done nothing but…”Brutus cut him off by pushing him aside and helping Porcia up. He urgently checked her condition.
“Have you hurt her? Did you push her? Why were you looming above her?” Brutus asked, his eyes glared into Sextus’ while he held Porcia possessively.
