Marc Antony noted with some deflation that Pompey was sailing. He was taking Porcia with him and apparently leaving the pirates behind for him to deal with.
Fair enough. Antony decided to dispense with the trial business and immediately had the pirate leaders crucified. Instead of breaking their legs, he had them decapitated and sent their heads to Cato as a gift. Hopefully he would appreciate the gesture.
Antony then ordered that his troops should have a furlough...
