    "It was established, by going back and calculating the dates, that on the precise day on which Caesar fought his victorious battle, the statue of Victory in front of Minerva in the temple of Minerva at Elis, which had previously faced the image of the goddess, had turned itself round towards the doors and threshold of the temple. And on that same day, cries of an army and the sounds of trumpet calls had twice been heard so loudly at Antioch in Syria, that the citizens armed themselves and ran to and fro on the walls. The same happened at Ptolomais . . ."
