    Laurels...are you using Paintshop or Paint Shop Pro? I don't think PSP has a burn tool. At least, not in version 7. In Paintshop, there's a tool that looks like a hand, one that looks like a sponge, and one that looks like a Q-tip with the cotton ball only on one end (LOL), but they're all on the same "button". Any of them may be showing...I think by default, it's the Q-tip. Click the little arrow next to whichever of these tools is showing and a swing-out window should open that has the burn tool — that's the one that looks like a hand making the sign language letter O.
