Okay Ali, let's see if I've got your number. The Corcyreans inhabitted the island known as Corcyra (Corfu) and they requested that Athens help them against a pending Corinthian invasion which led to the Battle of Sybota where Corcyra and Athens more or less fended off the Corinthians. This all happened at the time of the Peloponnesian War, and in fact this "incident" is considered to be one of the primary causes of that conflict. Hence the invovelement of Thucydides and the famed antiwar play, Lysistrata, by Aristophanes.
