What do you guys know about Guenevre in the movie King Arthur? I read that Celtic women fought in battle, but we are talking "little" woman here and against Anglo-Saxons? How could all those men go down and she make it out o.k.? I don't know..........In the movie First Knight, Guenevre is "princess" material, and in King Arthur, a "warrior"? Which one you guys? Yeh, I agree; Arthur never even cracked a smile at his own wedding! hhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa!! Good movie, though. I just had to buy the DVD and watch it on STARZ when it is on the satellite. Yeh, the frozen lake was a bit colder than what I've read about Scotland, but I think the lake scene is what made the movie. All those guys tromping to the beat and then, down they go! One part did raise question about the movie....when the Saxon leader told the other not to "mix" with "those kind", I find it hard to believe they "obstained". All the history books agree on one subject: at war, the armies killed the men and raped the women. End of story. Anybody got facts that contradict and prove different? P.S. I'm enjoying Germania at AW!
