Here are some hints to Aelfwine's quote:
- The compound words in the verse are divided thus: Lob-gesänge, Goten-heere, Busento-welle.
- Can you guess who the Goten are?
- The contraction Sangen's is not possessive as in English, but = Sangen es.
- The first two lines are in the past tense; the last two are in the imperative.
