What is he doing here? I think to myself. Did he follow me? Νο, I matter little to him and the clan. He made that quite clear at the inn. Even Badb must realize this now. Perhaps none of us matter. He is Cean Fine and may exercise his judgment as he sees fit. Pity that. I thought he had more sense and would rely on the counsel of those closest to him. There is no way any of them would have recommended allowing that witch back into the family. I don't care if she's his blood. She did a great wrong to all of us...to him and me most of all.
"Eoghain, have you lost your mind?!" is all I can think to say to him at the moment.
My mind is fuzzy and my words a bit slurred. Eoghain has a dumbfounded look on his face.
"Do you care so little for your clan that you would allow that murderess back into our lives?"
I weakly wave the stick at him as I speak. He just stands there.
"What is the matter with you?"
I begin to cry in frustration and anger. Dropping the stick, I turn to Taranis and attempt to mount him to get away from this place and most of all, away from Eoghain. Suddenly, Eoghain's strong hands are upon my waist, pulling me down and away from my horse.
"Let me go!" I shout at him, but he will not release me.
My feet meet the ground once again and I am forceably turned around to face him. I am trapped.
"How could you do this to me!" I begin railing at him, my fists beating his chest. "How could you betray the memory of our fathers this way?!" Why, Eoghain?! Why?!"
