    ...I think. A little problematic since it is hard to get two scholars to agree on most of these things:)(ok that was an exaggeration!) I am interested in just when did the proto-slavs become the individual Slavic cultures....when and where did Poles become Poles and not just part of the proto-slavic world, etc.....

    I have looked into the history of the Rusyn people only to find that it is shrouded in a deep mist and very few can say for sure that they believe one way or another on the exact roots of these people. Rusyns as far as those living in the Carpathians are relative newcomers comparedto some of the other cultural groups and really overall the Slavs themselve have a definite shortage of historical references about them.
