I cannot agree with Canius that Braveheart was more accurate. For example, the first battle where Wallace defeated the English was fought on a bridge. Sorry, there was not bridge in sight. Gladiator may not be accurate in its historical context of the life of Commodus but may of the detail in the film were surprisingly accurate. The Rome that was recreated was quite accurate and so were the religious beliefs. If you wish to have a debate on why Gladiator is a bad historical film give us some details.
