The night passed petulantly at best, for the sea-winds were disrupting of the normal warmth and seemed to counter the intense sunlight. This was, however, normal for a port city and as a result most of the exiled senators were not used to thes schizophrenic environment.
With the fading of night, morning also came in the same manner as it always had before. Yet, more warning existed in the breezes, telling of trials to come. Brutus did not observe this, for his mind was bent on meeting with Cassius, whom he had neglected for several days because of a severe need to find his own conclusions.
Brutus, always being a welcome guest, was entreated entry into the home. There was a deathly quiet over the place that unnerved Brutus. He participated in some small talk with his sister, noting an anxiousness in Junia's voice until he was greeted warmly by Cassius.
