Good Evening To Everyone,
John de la Pole, the 2nd Duke of Suffolk, was born in 1442 as the son of William de la Pole, the 1st Duke of Suffolk and Alice Chaucer. William de la Pole was known as "The Trimming Duke", and was executed in 1450.
John de la Pole was married to the Lady Margaret Beaufort between January 28, 1450 and February 07, 1450. Lady Margaret was just six years of age at the time of the marriage. This marriage of convenience was destined not to last, and was annulled before March 24, 1453.
In 1460 or 1461, John de la Pole married Elizabeth, the sister of King Edward IV of England. In 1463 the dukedom was restored and John received the title. His oldest son was John de la Pole, the Earl of Lincoln.
John de la Pole died in 1491.
