That was how and why he found himself standing at the edge of the Wall of the World on this dark and stormy night. He knew there was nothing beyond the Wall but deserts, burning wastes, evil ghosts and terrible monsters.
Soon he would be rid of the demon and better times will return to the Empire. Soon he knew that once again people would have rights as well as duties.
It was a hard thing to develop a social conscience at his advanced age. It was even harder to hold on to a soaking wet statue on a slippery surface on a dark and stormy night which explains why suddenly the guards heard his scream.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH S................................" and then a distant thud.
The fall didn't kill Lu Wang though he probably would have died from his injuries from it. Oh no, in a cruel twist of fate, Lu Wang hit the ground just a few seconds before the statue that he'd clung to all the way from Beijing to the Wall of the World.
He opened his eyes just in time to see the statue grow every closer. His life began to flash before his eyes. He only got to the point where his father pointed out the demon at the end and told him that it was the worse of them all -
An AUDITOR!
When it hit him in the head and promptly killed him.
