Orodes' host went home in haste, but not without a stop.

He had to recoup some of his losses and sate his men....

When Sextus Pompeius arrives, he will find Philadelphia a burnt town, its people slaughtered and attached to the host for sale as slaves in Persian markets. The city is devoid of anything of value and not a soul is to be found.
