I also particular like Mac's idea that we should "change around" the partners so that different worlds get to work with different partners at each festival!

If I have read my posts right, Sankira (aha, Sank! gotcha!) has already said, based on the fact they did the Lunar New Year AND Springfest, that it would be much easier in future to skip Springfest for the Orient and do a fall festival.

DOES that mean, Sank, after talking with your colleagues, Orient might be the first to "sign up" for Goldfest '05?

If we're gonna do this, it's not a minute too early to start at least planning which world wants to be involved in a Fall festival, just so the others can breathe a sigh of relief ;)

I also think Alerissa's point is well-taken - October tends to be a month full of events otherwise. Perhaps we could either (a) do a fall fest in September or (b) in November?

And finally - TIMING. I must admit, I agree with the post that said Fri-Sun may be a hair too short, but I'm not sure we should do it over a week UNLESS ya'll feel it important that there be a one-day break between events. (some truth to saying, day-after-day can be exhausting, but I think over a long weekend it would be OK). My first impression would be - Thursday through Sunday, rather than Friday through Sunday?

What do you think? Should we rough out some ideas now?
