First Great Bean Hunt Post
Prepare to hunt the beans scattered throughout the Orient. The more beans, the more lucky you'll get this year! Rules available. Contest starts Feb 5.
Ok, the concept shouldn't be too difficult to grasp *g*: we've scattered 30 red beans all over the Orient. Your mission of course, is to locate as many of them as you can.
Now on to the trickier part: the rules!
Rules&Regulations
- Participation: This contest is open to all members of Ancient Worlds from Feb 5, 12.00 AW time to Feb 13, 14.00 AW time. There is no need to sign up. Will be considered participants all who send the URLs before Feb 13, 14.00 AW time. All emails received after that limit will be considered void.
- Location of the beans: the beans will be scattered throughout the Orient during the night before the 5th. They can be located in any page in the Orient. That means not just the entrance page of a home, but the courtyard, library, etc. The same goes for groups. They can appear on the main page, but also in the threads. Finally, some may be embedded in other graphics, and there's even one whose color has been changed to blend in better: you've been warned! (Yes, it's vicious, but we Orientals are sneaky people, hehe)
Note: several beans may appear on one page: they count towards ONE url only. Stop pleading. That's my final word on it. AND those in Sank's image gallery don't count either
- Sending in your results: When you find a bean, copy the URL. All URLs must be sent at the email address below. DO NOT POST YOR URLS HERE!. You can send them in seperate emails, or wait to send them all at once, as long as it is before Feb 13, 14.00
- Prizes: The purpose behind the scattering of the beans being inviting good luck into your home, all the participants with a total of 15 or more will receive a lucky charm. Moreover, a Great Award will be handed during the Indian Block Party (Feb 13) to the member who will find the most beans. In case of egality between two or more members, the Award will be given to the one who sent all his URLs first.
Send your URLs to the following email: beanhunt@asian-center.net

Good luck to you all in your hunt, and may the Shichi Fukujin be with you!
Comments? Questions? Post them here, this is what this thread is made for ;-)
