    My father's side is German (from Osnabruek), and my mother's side is a mix of Irish, English, Welsh, Dutch (we have pirates on our side!), and Scottish. The coolest thing about my Scottish ancestry is that I'm related to Robert the Bruce-- he married a Buchanan, which is how we connect. Wild, huh?

    My great aunt does geneology, and she pretty much thinks that we are as Anglo-Saxon as one can get (on my mom's side). Sadly, no one has ever started geneology on my dad's side. :-( Seems like a fun project, although most of my relatives still live in Germany!

    This is a neat thread, I hope more people join in!
