Typically when Americans dress-up and re-enact past military spectacles, they reach back 150 years to their own Civil War. But I recently ran across this surprisingly extensive website for a group of Roman re-enactors in suburban Washington, D.C. who seek to re-create the camps and military manuevers of the Roman Legio XX (which was posted in Britannia). They have an encampment coming up the first weekend of June for any readers who may live in that area.
