As you may or may not have read, the site is currently working on it's first ever homesite contest. To aid in future contestants seeking help in homesite coding or other problems, I am suggesting to Heraklia that we host a publicly accessible thread and monitor it.
I realize some of you will think that it will detract from our own membership. Personally I do not, if we are the group offering help, we get to put the FAQ prominently in thread and with every answer we act as natural advertisement to this group. If you need one simple answer, you can get it in the thread, if you wish to learn more, you can become an Arachnid and learn with all of us.
We brought up the topic of a sitewide hosted thread in the past, about a year and half ago now, and at the time we had agreed upon it pretty much. Never went through with it because it was decided that the need wasn't there, and who would monitor it?
So we do have some stuff to discuss now. Is it still ok to create this one thread? If so, would you be interested in being part of a Monitoring List of Arachnids?
