a Germanic to make the first post in the Holy Land, eh? :-) Anyway, I am an Anglo-Saxon (despite my more Norse-sounding names) from Christian Wessex, and am glad to be making my pilgrimage to the Holy Land. A famous instance of Old English poetry dealing with an important even in Jerusalem is the Dream of the Rood. I know it's a bit later historically that you guys probably usually deal with, but Roman Judea doesn't have a cool Pilgrimage thread like you do. :-) What a great idea!
Thanks for giving a lone Saxon a chance for rest, refreshment, worship, and meeting new people. If the gods grant that I return to my northern lands, I shall have a great tale to tell in my lord's meadhall by the fire!!
Westu hæl!
