Publius Licinius Crassus, Crassus' younger son, was probably in his twenties when Caesar took him to Gaul and gave him military commands in which he showed himself very capable. He was still probably too young to begin the cursus honorum in late 55 when his father took him to Syria and then Parthia.

Marcus Licinius Crassus, the elder son, was quaestor in 54 and in a way replaced his younger brother with Caesar in Gaul and probably came back to Rome after his father and brother died in 53.

What I know of their marriage connections agrees with Aulus.
