Checking Syme's The Roman Revolution and the OCD, it appears that Crassus' eldest son, Marcus, had married Caecilia Metella, daughter of Q. Caecilius Metellus Creticus (cos 69 BC), later supported Caesar and was appointed governor of Cisalpine Gaul in 49 BC and apparently died shortly thereafter.
The triumvir's grandson, also M. Licinius Crassus, and presumably the son of the above was consul in 30 BC and annoyed Octavian by claiming the spolia opima after having killed an enemy leader (king of the Bastarnae) in 29 BC while proconsul in Macedonia.
