Last month, in Sicily...
(sorry I missed replying to this one Marlin)
Caius Livius turned round as his daughter gasped at finding a the unexpected visitor. An unclothed unexpected visitor!
"O do pardon me, quaestor..." she said turning her back quickly...
"Livia, this is Arminius Terentius, my quaestor, you have met.." said Caius
"Yes father, we have, but under more... err formal circumstances. My apologies for entering without knocking, I had thought you alone father."
"That is alright daughter, no harm done."
Livia nevertheless continued to blush and was quite obviously fighting the urge to look.
"Mother said that the packing is nearly done, she wants to know if we are taking it all back to Rome or sending some of it to one of our estates here?"
"Tell your mother that the large items will all go to our new estates at Lilybaeum. She knows we wont' have room for it back in Rome in the new year."
"Yes father" replied Livia, stifling a sob...
"What's the matter?" asked Arminius
"Ah, Arminius, I too have some news. I will be retiring from active politics when I get back to Rome. I am giving my son his emancipation early!" Caius smiled whistfully.
