    Marcus Aurelius sent Lucius Verus to Parthia to settle the conflict. Although Lucius Verus was a poor general, Marcus Auerelius sent Rome's best generals to help him. The romans stormed the parthian strongholds.
    The two german tribes, the Marcommani and the Quadi, invaded Italy,Marcus Aurelius defeated them individually, but never again was rome to hold the upper hand in any other wars against the german tribes.
