Cisalpine Rebellion Unchecked
The rebelling cities of Genua and Taurinorum have continued to recruit additional manpower into their army as the situation in Cisalpine Gaul continues unchecked. No word has yet been heard from the Praetor of Cisalpine Gaul, Gavius Pompilius Agelastus. There are some rumors that the Praetor was captured and imprisoned when the rebellion broke out. The Roman Colonies in the province are increasingly concerned about the apparent lack of concern by the Senate and the People, despite the arrival of Legio XI Italia from Italia-Etruria.
Achaean Situation Deteriorates
The rebellion of the Achaean League continues despite the arrival of the Roman delegation from Rhodes lead by Princeps Senatus Drakus Domitius Cordatus. An Achaean League army attempted to take Argos by storm. After an inconclusive battle both sides have settled in for a long siege. Thousands have died on both sides, with no end in sight.
Bergidum Surrenders!
Roman arms are dishonored! Two maniples of Roman troops garrisoning Bergidum have surrendered to the besieging Celtiberians. Will such a disgrace be bourne by the Res Publica Romanum? Meanwhile Praetor Quintus Fabius Maximus has been resting his troops at the fortress of Aracilium. Morale remains low; no-one is sure what the Praetor plans. Of course, with December and elections at hand, will his successor be more successful?
Illyrican Winter Slows Campaign
The legion led by Legate Lucius Antonius Silanus has not moved much beyond Burnum. Possibly this is due to heavy snowfall in the Illyrian mountains, or perhaps the Legate has fallen ill. Regent and Commander Marcus Fulvius Sesquiculum remains sieged in the capital.
Saldae Sieged
Roman Commander Sallustius Falco’s siege of Saldae continued on this month. Legate Caius Livius Drusus the Younger has returned with his mercenaries, accompanied by Numidian Prince Micipsa. At the appointment of King Massinissa, the Prince in turn has a retinue of Numidian advisors.
Scytopolis Falls, On to Tiberias
Cnaeus Ulpius Sisenna’s army overwhelmingly defeated the rebellious defenders of Scythopolis this month. Roman losses were minimal; the entire rebel army in the city was destroyed. Commander Ulpius has led two legions northward to Tiberias, where he has been joined by his Nabatean auxiliaries; the city of Tiberias has refused demands for surrender.
Rhodes Treaty Ratified
The new treaty with Rhodes has now gone into effect. Many who traded with Rhodes under the prior terms are irritated at the increased tarriffs, but the majority of traders are pleased, as are Rome’s other allies.
City News
Following the rioting, public works spending was high. The largest expenditure was Censor Marcus Aemilius Scaurus’ vast outlay to construct a new theatre for the People.

Legislative Report
SENATUS
Moderate, Conservative or General (1, 2 or 3) need 66%, 33% and 50%+ respectively
to pass
Senatus Consultum Sallustia to create a War Fund (CSF) -- MODERATE – FAILED (12.93%)
1. Each Commander of an Army engaged in a war will have a War Fund at his disposition. This war fund will be managed by the Commander of the Army, but the fund will be controlled by the Military Quaestor.
2. The Military Quaestor will send an inform to the Senate about how this fund was expended, when the imperium of the Commander finished.
3. The War Fund of each army will be 10.000 D. If more money is necessary, it must be asked specifically to the Senate.
This S.C. will cost as much as 10.000 D per each Army deployed in each moment. Now we have 4 armies (Hispania, Mauretania, Illyria, Palaestina), so it will cost 40.000 D.
Senatus Consultum Domitia Colonia Fesulae (DDC) -- GENERAL -- PASSED (100%) That Fesulae in Etruria be colonised at a cost of 15,000 D and 5,000 citizens.
Senatus Consultum Valerianum Honoribus (LVF) -- GENERAL – PASSED (100%) For his leadership and great currage in the battle at Burnum Legate Lucius Antonius Silanus would receive the Gold Spearshaft.
For the overwhelming victory and brave operation in the battle at Scythopolis Commander Cnaeus Ulpius Sisenna would receive the Gold Crown.
Senatus Consultum Terentia Fabrica Militaria (ATA) -- GENERAL – PASSED (86.49%)
That, the Senate authorize the building of one hundred military factories, to be located within Italia, where the chances of their being lost in territorial revolts is negligible;
That, these factories be available for purchase by equestrians in any number from one to fifty--orders taken from the kalends of December by public letter to the Censors only--no secret orders to be accepted.
ASSEMBLY
Radical, Liberal or General (1,2 or 3) need 66%, 33% and 50%+ respectively
to pass.
Lex Fabia Gladiatoria (CFM) -- GENERAL -- PASSED (91.64%)
That every December a second gladiatorial match be held in honour of the souls of the citizens who died serving the Res Publica.
Lex Domitia Rhodus Sociare (DDC) -- GENERAL -- PASSED (100%)
I. The status of friend and ally shall be renewed and reaffirmed with the state of Rhodius.
II. Rhodius shall pay a tax rate of 7% to Roma.
III. When possible, each state shall strive to protect the other's merchant ships while they are within local waters, or in any situation that may present itself.
IV. Rhodius shall accept Roman soldiers and ships of war should Rome's interests in the East demand a military presence. Rhodius shall not be considered garrisoned, but rather hosting the military forces of a friend and ally.
Lex Rufinia Nomen Regionis Sabinis (MRA) -- GENERAL -- FAILED (37. 89%) I propose that, whereas the eponymous inhabitants of Sabinis have become entirely romanized, and whereas the Sabines are outnumbered by the Umbrians in the province in question, the provice be renamed Umbria to better reflect its population.
Lex Sallustia to Control Bodyguards (CSF) -- GENERAL -- FAILED (30. 31%)
