    Tour the Orient from north to south, east to west with Fei Jing Tours. Then, join the tour of the Historical City of Chang'an. Tickets are free and good for the entire festival...and beyond.



    The Dancing Lion Parade
    Sunday, May 2 - 10:00 am EDT/AWT

    Come join us as we celebrate The Opening of the Orient with Spring festivals from all over the Oriental World. Stuff yourselves with festival food and add your comments to those of your hosts Sankira Qin, Lalita Ashoka and Ningyo Muramoto, along with a bevy of assistants reporting live from all over the Orient, as we present The First Annual Springfest Dancing Lion Parade.



    SongKran Festival
    Sunday May 2, noon EDT/12:00 AWT (time approximate)

    The parade will end with a short water sprinkling ceremony in honor of The Red Phoenix District's SongKran Festival. The ceremonial pouring of water over the HANDS of the elders is encouraged ... although be it known that some of our younger citizens have been known to get into the spirit a little more vigorously than is anticipated. Visitors are advised to bring bad weather gear should they prefer to remain dry.

    It's time for those hearty souls reckless enough to brave the dangers of the unknown to open the Silk Road to the West. Be the first to travel the Silk Road between The Oriental World and the gates to Mesopotamia! Learn to barter, to bargain, to bicker, and to battle brigands as you race your way to win bragging rights as AW's primary trailblazer.



    Falling Cherry Blossom Haiku Competition

    Calling all poets. The Green Dragon Shogunate invites you to test your skills against the best haiku artists of AncientWorlds. Competition opens promptly at midnight!



    The Panda Quiz: Are YOU a friend of Bao Bei?
    Monday May 3 (perpetual post)

    Visit the Bamboo Panda Preserve on Sunday. Come and play with these adorable creatures — under expert supervision, of course. Bao Bei and his friends are The Orient's official mascots, so we encourage visitors learn more about them from our friendly guides. Adopt a Panda or donate to the worldwide effort to save this endangered species. And those wishing to test their newly gained knowledge can try their hand at the Bao Bei Panda Quiz on Monday.



    Springfest Closing Ceremonies and Awards Banquet
    Monday May 3, 19:00 AWT

    Come and witness the awarding of prizes. Orient contest awards will be given out beginning 19:00 AWT (but you don't have to wait that long to start drinking), followed by Best of Fest Awards from the Demis on the Springfest thread, promptly at 20:00 AWT. Then it's back to the Khantina to eat, drink, and dance the night away. Mingle with citizens from all over AncientWorlds and have a great time at our closing party. By order of the Divine Emperor, the Kublai Khantina will be open all night and all food and drink are on the house!
