 House of the Dolphine League members are welcome to stay here when visiting the Sacred Island. League business and meetings are conducted here.
This is yet another memorible example of the Hellenistic house.
The floor mosaics inculde one in the central courtyard that shows Eroses carrying symbols of divinity as they ride in pairs of dolphins. This is the work of mosaic artist Asklepiades of Arados. He was a Phonecian and also produced the floor decoration in the vestibule with the magical-religious sign of the Phonecian goddess Tanit whom this unknown house dweller must have worshipped.
