Due to the holiday rush, we've been having a real problem getting everyone together to find judges, select topics, and finalize the rules for the live Haiku Challenge. In fact, we had a hard time finding people who could be SURE to be here as judges. This is a bad thing, since the competition was originally scheduled for this coming Saturday. In light of those troubles, we also had visions of sugar plums...no wait, visions of difficulties in finding time for it among those people who might want to participate.

However, since we are hoping to have this become a regular feature over on the Falling Cherry Blossoms thread, we don't want to have people lose interest in future competitions due to a less than successful launch. So, we've decided it would be best to postpone this one until the holidays are over and people have more time.

Now, the competition will still happen, just not smack in the middle of the holiday season. We need to settle on a new date, and while I was brainstorming with Hap we thought it would probably make an excellent activity for the upcoming Oriental New Year celebrations in early February. Does this sound like a reasonable idea to everyone?
