Cimber fell to the ground laughing to tears. "Very well my friend, and I shall ask that you be be officially agnominated 'stolidus' for your lack of understanding of human behavior and the ill will you will blindly spread to our subjects! I admire your style of debate and use of theatrics, Casca. I do, however, think it's time to direct the chamber back to serious debate."
Wiping the tears from his face, Cimber addressed the entire chamber. "Decius Marcius Curius is wise. I shall amend the SC Cimbrii Defendo Aegyptus to specify that we transfer one legion from Cyrenia to Egypt. This will insure that there are no costs associated with the defenses at Alexandria. Swift passage of this bill will then allow us adequate time to review the Servilia Militaris which I strongly support."
"As for the plan to remove the contents of the Library of Alexandria, I have stated my opinion of the matter. I leave it to you, conscript fathers, to debate. It will take years to impliment this plan. I see no reason to needlessly inflame tensions today during a time of civil unrest."
With a bow of his head and the flash of a half smile, Cimber returns to his seat.
