    The term "cult" carries two related but very different meanings. It is the formal means of expressing religious reverence, that is, religious ceremony and ritual. In this sense, one might speak of the Cult of the Virgin, or the Cult of Sol Invictus. The word "cult" is also used to denote a eligion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.     Cult...um...definition...I feel as an inductee at one time there is none. A cult is a phrase that means one thing to one and another to another. I will not name the association as I feel that would be to burden some and cause presumption or even assumption on others. Some would say that a cult is just an NRM...New religious movemant. Wesley was one at a certain time in history and now that to some would seem ludicrous. All I can say is that a "cult" is insiduous. The overtaking of the persona and independence of an individual is scary, at the expense of "needing" the group or individual who is the leader. I have seen drug addicts, rent boys, prostitutes, alchoholics etc taken away from their addicitions to only be supplied with another addiction...religion. Just remember Religion is man made and subject to error.
